Mercedes-Benz S-Class Convertible Spied
It has been over 40 years since Mercedes-Benz has produced an S-Class convertible.
That’s all about to change, as the German automaker is hard at work on the new S-Class convertible, which is expected to make its debut next year. AutoGuide.com‘s spy photographers recently caught a heavily camouflaged prototype testing with a fabric soft top.

Though it may appear that the prototype has a hardtop, it’s actually being used to conceal the fabric soft top underneath. Expect the convertible model to share powerplants with the coupe variant. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class convertible will compete directly with the BMW 6 Series convertible, Aston Martin Volante and Maserati GranTurismo convertible.
