Most Researched Cars of the Week: July 20 – 26 Staff
by Staff

This week the most researched vehicles in’s new cars section included compact crossovers but nothing larger than that.

The 2014 Mazda CX-5 was the most popularly searched vehicle this week, followed closely by the new Jeep Cherokee. While the Mazda is one of the sportier options in its category, Jeep’s newest product is much more rugged and off-road oriented, especially with the Trailhawk pacakge.

Moving away from utility vehicles, the bargain-priced Mitsubishi Mirage was also a popular choice this week. If cheap is what you want, the little Mitsubishi has you pegged. Just don’t expect much else, because it’s about as bare as they come.

Volkswagen’s Golf, on the other hand, is probably one of the more premium small hatchbacks you can buy without venturing into luxury territory and pricing. For 2015, it enters a seventh generation, growing larger, lighter and more fuel efficient than ever before.

Finally, the Ford Fiesta rounds off this week’s list. It is available with everything from a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine for maximum fuel savings to the 1.6-liter turbo four powering the rowdy ST range topper.
