The next-generation Mercedes-Benz A-Class will spawn a collection of body styles.
According to a recent report from Autobild, when the new Mercedes A-Class arrives in four years the German automaker plans on creating several bodystyles for the model including a coupe, roadster, sedan and shooting brake. The compact sedan has gained major market appeal with its redesign for the current generation and Mercedes is looking to leverage its popularity by expanding the lineup.
Similar to what has been done with its C- and E-Class models, the new A-Class will launch in 2018 as a five-door hatchback before the sedan arrives quickly after. A year later, Mercedes will add the coupe, roadster and shooting brake variants with the latter likely exclusive to the European market.
