Mercedes to Give AMG Sport Treatment to More Models

Mercedes-Benz is planning to make performance products with a tri-star badge available to a wider range of people.

BMW offers M Performance versions of its vehilces to bridge the gap between its normal and nutso much the same as Audi has it’s S models. Now Mercedes-Benz is preparing to offer in-between performance on more models with AMG Sport packages that will be more affordable than eye-wateringly expensive models like like C63 AMG. As you might remember, Mercedes is planning to offer a C450 AMG Sport model that will slot below the full-fledged AMG model, but according to AutoCar it won’t be alone. The company will also include the A-, E-, S-, M-, GLA-,  GLK- and GL-Class models.

Depending on what part of the world you live in, the company will offer both gasoline and diesel versions of the vehicles, which won’t all use the same engines, but are slated to receive upgraded suspensions, wider tracks and re-programed ECUs along with cosmetic changes.
