Jaguar is doing some hot weather testing for it all-new XF model out in Southern Europe.

Our spy photos show off the XF in its production body though it is fully covered in camouflage. The car is migrating to a stretched version of the new iQ[Al] aluminum platform that underpins the Jaguar XE, and will be offered as both a sedan and a wagon. The new aluminum platform will help the XF shed weight.

Powertrains offered will likely come from the new Ingenium engine family, which means a 2.0-liter four-cylinder will be the base option. A supercharged V6 will likely live on as the top choice. Diesel powerplants for worldwide markets will also be installed in the car and a plug-in hybrid variant is expected in the future.

I'm up in Sierra Nevada Spain right now and there were 3 of these cars outside my hotel this morning. I've passed them on the roads the last several days also. I can tell the photos in the article were taken up here from the backdrop. Almost went up to them to ask what it was!
