We have a whole new fleet of cars to test out this week, helping to give you some of the best car reviews and new car advice found around the net. Check out what we’re driving right here!
“I’m getting back into a car I have both fond and bad memories of – the Mazda RX-8. As a former owner, this was one of the most fun vehicles I ever owned, but also one of the most problematic. How will I feel when reunited with the rotary wonder?”
“Later in the week I’m off to Hollywood, California, home of the movie stars and world famous celebrities. What better place than to drive a brand-new version of one of the most iconic cars in automotive history, the Ford Mustang. Yes, that’s right, it’s finally time to go drive the 2015 Mustang, including the new Ecoboost model.” 2015 Toyota Camry: Colum Wood, Editor-in-Chief –
“No one thinks the Camry is exciting, not even people who buy it. That doesn’t mean it’s not a great car. In fact, it is a great car. . . Or it has been for a long time. But will the all-new 2015 Camry earn the same reputation? Well, that’s what I’m going to find out while driving it in the most un-boring part of America: Hawaii. There’s an embargo on driving impressions, but we’ll be sure to share plenty of photos of beaches and luaus.
“This week I’m going to be driving around in a BRZ with STI badges… Yes you read that correctly and no, it doesn’t mean what you (and I) want it to. Instead, I’ll be taking the limited edition BRZ Series.Blue out for a week of testing. The special edition of Subaru’s well-loved sports car features STI branded wheels, a special color scheme and package-specific trim among other items. I’ll be tweeting about it, so feel free to fire questions my way.”
“Heavy Duty trucks are the backbone of heavy industry, and this week I’ll be pitting all three of the big trucks on the market head-to-head. In partnership with the Canadian Truck King Challenge, I’ll be running the Chevy 3500, Ford F-350 and Ram 3500 back to back to see which holds up the best. And this won’t just be a beauty contest. We’ll be towing 16,000 pound fifth-wheel trailers and loading the beds of each truck with 2,000 pounds worth of shingles to see how they work under real conditions.”
“I’m in one more convertible before the summer is officially over, this time the BMW 4 Series drop-top. Hopefully the weather can stay warm this week, so I can go topless, but even if it doesn’t, the 4 Series has proven to me before that it’s a superb luxury coupe. Lets cross our fingers and see if that translates into a good convertible too.”
