BMW 1 Series Refresh Caught in Spy Photos

New spy photos of the BMW 1 Series sedan reveal the upcoming model’s headlights and not much else.

Last week, the first batch of 1 Series sedan spy photos gave us a good look at the car’s profile and now it appears the German automaker has removed a bit of the camouflage to reveal the model’s headlights. The 1 Series sedan will be the first front-wheel drive member for the 1 Series lineup and the platform is expected to underpin all future 1 Series models.

In other words, if you’re a fan of the rear-wheel drive 1 Series, you better act fast. The 1 Series sedan will be followed up by a five-door hatch and then a three-door hatch while the next-generation 2 Series coupe and convertible will also be switching to a front-wheel drive platform.

Expect the 1 Series sedan to arrive in 2016.
