The Toyota unintended acceleration saga could have a new chapter.
According to a recent report, a consumer petition alleging that 2006-2010 Toyota Corollas suffer from unintended acceleration is being looked into by U.S. safety regulators. The inquiry will cover about 1.69-million Corollas which are being reported to unexpectedly accelerate at low speeds and cause crashes. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) will decide whether it’ll warrant a formal investigation.
