2015 Ford F-150 Earns 'Truck of Texas' Award
The 2015 Ford F-150 is a big deal. This totally redesigned truck sports a lineup of powerful yet efficient engines, class-leading technologies and an aluminum body that cuts a massive amount of weight. Underscoring its importance this pickup was just named the “Truck of Texas.”
This is the most prestigious award handed out by TAWA, the Texas Auto Writers Association. And they ought to know a thing or two about pickups. The Lone Star state is the largest market for these hard-working vehicles in America.
At TAWA’s annual Truck Rodeo the 2015 F-150 faced off against 75 vehicles hailing from 18 different brands. That’s some tough competition. But this win is another notch in Ford’s gunstock. In fact nine of the last 12 Truck of Texas awards have gone to the F-Series.
