Custom Lexus RC F Being Crowdsourced for SEMA

Custom Lexus RC F Being Crowdsourced for SEMA

Lexus is turning to its fans for direction on how to build a custom RC F for the 2014 SEMA Show.

The Japanese automaker has launched its “Insta-Built” campaign and instead of choosing just one designer to create a custom car for SEMA, the company has decided to pick thousands of designers to choose the direction for its custom 2015 Lexus RC F. To kick things off, the Japanese automaker posted a question to its social media channels asking which theme the RC F should center around: Drift, VIP or Track. The fans have already spoken and the theme for the RC F build will be “Track” with Lexus creating “a more intense version of the RC F by adding a few hp, tightening up the suspension, and making this coupe even stickier.”

We expect Lexus to be updating its social media pages frequently over the next month as the company embarks on the build and we’ll likely see more polls from the company asking which modifications it should choose for the car.
