Vertu for Bentley Launches $17K Smartphone
Bentley owners have a new toy to match their cars, but it doesn’t come cheap.
The first in a lineup of ‘Vertu for Bentley’ smartphones has been revealed with a base price of $17,100. To make it gel with Bentley’s offerings, the phone is wrapped in quilted-calf leather in the classic Bentley shade of Newmarket Tan, finished with a diamond pattern. Where there isn’t leather, titanium that features tactile diamond knurling is used.
Other aspects of the phone have also been made sleeker to capture the look of a Bentley, while the brand’s winged logo is found near the microphone. The Android 4.4 operating system powers the phone.

Exclusive apps like Vertu Life, Vertu Certainty and Vertu Concierge will be accessible on the phone, along with exclusive Bentley-specific content that will provide info on Bentley articles, exclusive experiences, recommended routes and dealer information. Screen savers, start-up screens and the 3D clock will also be inspired by Bentley.
This is the first in a lineup of five phone that will be released as a part of the Vertu for Bentley line. An initial run of 2,000 units will be produced.
