Under the hot lights of the LA Auto Show, Audi has revealed the latest versions of the A6 and A7.
Both of the cars receive new styling which consists of new bumpers, trapezoidal tailpipes and new LED lights all around. In both cases the changes are pretty subtle, but Audi says they offer a “more dynamic stance and greater presence on the road.”
The 2015 A6 is available with four different powerplant options, a 2.0T, 3.0T, a TDI clean diesel option and of course the high-performance S6. For power, the base 2.0-liter now generates 252 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque while the 3.0T model offers 333 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. The top-dog 2016 Audi S6 will boast 450 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque, while diesel shoppers will get to enjoy 240 hp and 428 lb-ft of torque from the A6 TDI.
As for the slightly larger A7, it is also available in four different flavors. The base car is available with the same 3.0T as the A6, while moving up will get you into the A7 TDI that packs the same diesel powerplant and specs as the A6. At the top of the specturm, Audi offers the RS7 which packs a 560-hp V8.
On the interior of both vehicles, new Flint gray and Cedar brown color options are available as well as a new Arras red design selection interior. For technology, both of the cars get the latest version of Audi’s MMI infotainment system which has been upgraded to allow the software to be upgraded faster and easier. New 3D graphics have also been incorporated into the setup.
Finally, Audi says they have improved the side assist, active lane assist and secondary collision assist safety features.
