2016 Ford Explorer Priced From $31,595

Ford may have given its 2016 Explorer SUV substantial upgrades but the base price will remain the same.

The American automaker has updated its website with the new 2016 Ford Explorer, revealing that the base-model Explorer will keep its $31,595 (including destination) price tag. The 2016 Ford Explorer XLT which adds fog lights, a reverse sensing system and LED signature lighting will be priced from $34,295.

Moving up in trim levels, the Ford Explorer Limited will be priced at $42,195 and includes a voice-activated navigation system, 12-speaker Sony audio system and perforated leather-trimmed seats while the Ford Explorer Sport will carry a price tag of $44,195. The Explorer Sport is equipped with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, sport tuned suspension and 20-inch machined aluminum wheels.

Those shopping for the range-topping Explorer Platinum will have to shell out $53,495 but will get to enjoy Nirvana leather seats with quilted inserts, a unique 500-watt Sony audio system and a dual-panel moonroof.
