The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X VGT concept race car was developed for the Vision Gran Turismo project, which celebrates the 15th anniversary of PlayStation(R) racing game Gran Turismo(R) by inviting manufacturers to give fans a glimpse into the future of automotive design.

A brand new Vision Gran Turismo Concept will be unveiled at the upcoming LA Auto Show.

Chevrolet will take the wraps off the Chaparral 2X VGT Concept on November 19, revealing the latest chapter in the Vision Gran Turismo project, which invites manufacturers to design futuristic concepts that can be raced in the popular video game.

The car was put together in conjunction with Chaparral cars, which has been a long time partner of Chevrolet’s racing arm. “It will serve as an example of what our designers are capable of when they are cut loose, no holds barred,” said Ed Welburn, vice president of GM Global Design.
