Welcome to the improved AutoGuide.com!

If you’re a regular reader you’ve probably noticed a few small updates to the site this week, like larger photos, bigger fonts and a cleaner layout. But there’s so much more!

The bigger change is one you might not notice, unless of course you’re reading this on a smartphone or tablet. That’s because we’ve just rolled out a Responsive Design update to the site.

What the heck is that? Let me explain.

In short, it’s a single website that’s designed to work seamlessly on desktop, tablet and mobile, with an emphasis on delivering the best possible user experience.

We understand that increasingly you, our readers, are visiting AutoGuide on a device like your phone. We’ve now made that experience just as seamless as visiting the site on a traditional desktop or laptop computer.

A few sections like our New Car Shopping pages and our Car Comparison Tool aren’t responsive yet, but they will be soon and there’s more coming!

To further improve the site we’re working to update our photo gallery (something we know you’ve been asking for) as well as our slideshow list function that we use for our popular “ Top 10″ lists.

A complete redesign of the New Cars section is also in the works, with an innovative new car shopping tool and a layout designed to simplify the overly complex car shopping experience.

While SEO optimization and social shareability are still incredibly important, at AutoGuide.com we’re taking steps to focus on you, our readers. We know that ultimately our success relies on delivering the best content in the best format possible.

If you haven’t already, check out AutoGuide.com on your phone. I can’t wait to show you what’s next!
