2016 Chevrolet Camaro Teased in Detroit

While AutoGuide.com‘s spy photographers have caught the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro on camera numerous times, this is the first time GM itself has teased the next generation.

Serving as a backdrop as the company took the stage for its press conference at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, Chevy showed off the silhouettes of five new models it will debut this year, one of which is the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. Members from CamaroNews took the image of the backdrop, sharpened it, traced it and filled in some blanks to get an idea of what the next-generation sports car might look like.

Given that we’ve seen spy photos of the new Camaro, we already know that the styling will build on the current car with a sharper front end and an overall sleeker body rather than going in a new styling direction. The other vehicles that are expected to make their debut this year is a new Cruze, Malibu and Spark following the new Volt’s introduction in Detroit. According to GM, “By the end of 2015, 95 percent of the U.S. Chevrolet lineup will be all new or significantly updated compared to just four years ago.”
