Ford GT to be Built by Canadian Racing Partner

The Ford GT supercar will be built in Canada.

Unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show last month, the stunning Ford GT will boast 600 hp and is scheduled to head to production next year. Though pricing and production figures haven’t been announced by Ford, analysts believe the American automaker will only produce a few hundred units a year and it’ll be priced around $200,000.

With the announcement that Multimatic Motorsports will be producing the Ford GT, it further adds weight to the rumors that the company will make a return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016. Multimatic was part of the team that won the LMP675 class in the 2000 Le Mans endurance race and has been partners with Ford since 1992.
