Richard Petty’s SEMA Mustang to See Limited Production

Ford and Petty’s Garage will produce a limited edition Mustang GT based on the popular Petty’s Garage Mustang GT that debuted at last year’s SEMA Show.

The American automaker has announced that its dealerships will offer 143 of the Petty’s Garage-tuned Mustang GTs, coming standard with a stage 1 version while a more exclusive stage 2 version will also be available. Regardless of the stage, all Petty’s Garage Mustang GTs will feature a Ford Racing/Roush supercharger that will boost performance to 627 hp to go along with the unique exterior and interior accessories. Every car will also include Richard Petty’s signature on the dash.

According to Ford, the Stage 1 version will be limited to 100 units while the Stage 2 version will total 43 units. The Stage 1 Petty’s Garage Mustang GT will have a unique front fascia while the rear has been reworked with a center-exit exhaust and race-inspired spoiler. Other performance upgrades include a cold air intake, MagnaFlow exhaust system and a custom ECU tune. The Mustang will come standard with 20-inch HRE FlowForm wheels wrapped with Continental tires.

The more exclusive Stage 2 version will add a Petty’s Garage Wilwood big brake upgrade and a complete Petty’s Garage custom two-tone paint job while riding on three-piece forged-aluminum HRE wheels. The first Stage 2 version has already been spoken for by rock ‘n’ roll legend Brian Johnson.

Pricing for the Stage 1 version will start from $62,210 while the Stage 2 is priced at $92,210.
