The upcoming four-cylinder 2016 Chevrolet Camaro has been spied testing.
It appears that the base-model Camaro will have different styling than its V8-powered SS counterpart, which is to be expected. Up front, it sports a milder front end while the American automaker has removed the rear spoiler as well as swapping in a different rear bumper. Considering it’s a four-cylinder engine, single exhaust tips can be seen in place of the duals.
It is expected that the Camaro will be offered with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is shared with Cadillac models. It is being reported that the four-cylinder could become the base-model offering for the Camaro but we’ll know more when it officially makes it debut May 16 in Detroit ahead of its sale date in October.
