From now on, every Porsche 911 will come with a turbocharged engine.
Making their debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show were the 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera S models, ushering in a new era where forced induction is used on every 911 model. The Carrera and Carrera S are both powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged flat-six engine with the Carrera pushing 370 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque while the Carrera S sports 420 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque.

Compared to their predecessors, Porsche claims the new powerplants will be 12 percent more fuel efficient and will continue to have a signature raspy growl Porsche 911 models have become known for over the years.
