SEMA ARK Performance Genesis Coupe

Hyundai is gearing up to show off some serious performance cars at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show once again this year.

This year will mark the seventh consecutive Hyundai SEMA car built by ARK performance. For 2015, it was a Genesis Coupe that has been dressed up to take on cars like the BMW M4.

To live up to those performance claims, the 3.8-liter V6 engine found in the Genesis has been stroked to 4.0-liters and supercharged, bringing the output to more than 500 horsepower. That power is sent only to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. Tons of new engine internal components, including the pistons, rods and crank have all been switched out for higher performance versions as well.

A widebody kit gives the Genesis its new look along witth a new trunk spoiler and carbon fiber front splitter. ARK didn’t forget about the interior either, installing a redesigned dashboard, race-inspired steering wheel and gauges along with plenty of carbon fiber accents.

To make sure the car can take corners, new Nitto NT05 tires are fitted, hooked up to a new ARK coilover suspension and new ARK strut tower braces.
