The three former hosts of Top Gear are headed for a new show on Amazon Prime, which might be called Gear Knobs.

A law firm that has represented Jeremy Clarkson in the past registered to trademark the names Gear Knobs and Gear Nobs for use on TV and merchandising. The trademarks were filed quietly about two weeks before the trio of hosts announced there deal with Amazon Prime.

The law firm, Olswang LLP, actually setup a new company called Newincco 1361 to file the trademarks, a structure that suggests that Newincco will be used to control all of the merchandising assets of the show. A similar setup was used for Top Gear.

Newincco also filed to trademark Speedbird, another possible name that may be used on the show.
