Porsche Cayman Gets Trendy With Black Edition Model

The Porsche Cayman now has a trendy Black Edition.

The all-in-black special series was previously reserved for the Boxster and 911 Carrera models and features black paintwork, a black partial leather interior and an expanded list of standard equipment. The Porsche Cayman Black Edition includes Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation module, automatic anti-dazzle mirrors, rain sensor, cruise control, parking assistant at the front and rear and a Sport Design steering wheel.

The model is based on the Cayman powered by a 2.7-liter engine with 275 horsepower. On the outside, it has been fitted with 20-inch Carrera Classic wheels, bi-xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) and optional side window trims in aluminum. Also included on the Black Edition model is the Sound Package Plus, dual-zone climate control and heated front seats.

The Porsche Cayman Black Edition will go on sale in Germany starting October 2 and is priced from $66,700 (59,596 euros) including taxes. No word yet if the Porsche Cayman Black Edition will be heading to the U.S.
