If you’re heading to the 2015 L.A. Auto Show and in the market for a new crossover, make sure to check out the 2017 Ford Escape.

Getting a nice, thorough refresh, the Escape receives Ford’s corporate trapezoidal grille up front, similar to what’s found on the new Edge. Along with the new grille, the American automaker made the Escape more aerodynamic and outfitted it with new halogen projector headlights, new fog lights and LED tail lights.

The naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine will carry over while a pair of new EcoBoost engines will replace the current 1.6-liter mill. Although exact specifications haven’t been released, Ford expects the new 1.5-liter EcoBoost to provide 180 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque while the larger 2.0-liter turbocharged engine will have 245 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque.

I think the refresh is a step back in design and looks worse than the original model.
