Faraday Future Subtly Hid a Teaser of Its Production Car
Faraday Future revealed an insane 1,000-horsepower electric vehicle concept at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), but it appears the company has a more a realistic model under development.
After a couple of months of teasers that led to plenty of rumors and speculation, the mysterious automaker pulled the wraps off its FFZERO1 concept at CES, a supercar concept aimed to impress. But let’s be honest, the FFZERO1 is as far-fetched as they come, and if Faraday Future wants to survive, it will need conventional offerings, especially if it intends to take on Tesla.
In a video showcasing the new concept, there’s a subtle flash of a silhouette that hints Faraday Future’s first production model will likely be a crossover, which makes sense considering how hot the segment has become.

With the debut of the FFZERO1, Faraday Future revealed that its electric platform is versatile enough to underpin conventional vehicles such as a crossover or sedan. Exterior chief designer Page Beermann also confirmed that the platform doesn’t have to use four electric motors like the FFZERO1, but can accommodate one, two or three electric motors.
It is believed that Faraday Future will unveil a more pedestrian model before year’s end and it could come to market as soon as 2017 or 2018.
