We now have video proof that the Hellcat-powered Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is in the works.

Although it has been confirmed that the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is heading to production, this is the first time we’ve seen and most importantly heard it in action.

Expected to go zero-to-60 mph in 3.5 seconds, the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine can be heard in the video with the supercharger sounding off its signature whine. The current Hellcat powerplant makes 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque and its output shouldn’t change for the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk that will come with all-wheel drive as standard.

Currently the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT offers a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 with 475 hp, so the Trackhawk will end up in a class of its own. In fact, if the numbers are confirmed, it will accelerate even faster than a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S.

Expect to hear more news about the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk this year, but for now, you can believe it with your own eyes by watching the video below.
