2016 Nissan Maxima SR Adds Blacked Out Midnight Edition

The 2016 Nissan Maxima SR Midnight Edition has been revealed.

According to Nissan, the special Midnight Edition package offers $2,195 in added content and is exclusive to the Maxima SR trim. To order the Midnight Edition, customers need to spend $1,195.

The package can be had on any 2016 Nissan Maxima SR finished in Super Black, Pearl White, Brilliant Silver, Coulis Red or Deep Blue Pearl. Any of the color choices are paired up to a Charcoal leather-appointed interior with Alcantara inserts. The Midnight Edition package adds a black sport spoiler, black rear diffuser and black 19-inch wheels.

The 2016 Nissan Maxima is powered by a revised 3.5-liter VQ-series V6 engine with 300 horsepower while returning up to 30 mpg on the highway.

“Customer response to our limited production Maxima ‘Midnight’ accessories package last summer was so strong, we’ve now made it a factory installed option – and we’re launching it at a $1,000 discount versus what it would cost to order and install the features individually,” said Dan Mohnke, vice president, Nissan Chief Marketing Manager & Marketing Operations.

    These "new" black painted rims are actually refurbished rims that were damaged in the factory during installation. The 2016 maxima rims are of such low quality that there are literally hundreds of damaged rims. The paint used is not sufficient to hold up to the installation process.
