Spy Photos Prove Porsche is Building a Station Wagon

First an SUV. Then a sedan. But is Porsche seriously about to start selling station wagons?

A new set of spy photos has arrived showing off a Panamera station wagon, known as a shooting brake in other parts of the world. This new variant that has been rumored to join the lineup for sometime and will likely be fully revealed before the end of 2016.

Back at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, Porsche showed the Panamera Sport Turismo Concept to tease the idea of a station wagon Panamera, but now it seems that it really is going to happen. Coupe and cabriolet versions of the Panamera are also apparently under consideration.

The Panamera is undergoing a complete redesign for the 2017 model year and will debut with a revised powertrain lineup and about 200 pounds shaved off. Turbocharged V6 and V8 engines are expected to be available along with a plug-in hybrid setup and a diesel option.
