Here's the 2017 Audi R8 Spyder Completely Undisguised
The 2017 Audi R8 Spyder has been spied looking showroom ready on the streets of Europe.
Sporting a fitting bright yellow paint job, the new Audi R8 Spyder will use the same platform and powertrains as the 2016 Audi R8 coupe launching with a V10 variant. Recently it has been reported that Audi plans to add a V6 option to the R8 lineup, based on a leaked product schedule. On that same schedule, the 2017 Audi R8 Spyder is expected to debut sometime in May along with the new TT RS coupe.

The timing all fits considering Audi isn’t even afraid of testing the drop-top exotic with no camouflage on public streets. Spy photographers also managed to get a photo of the completely exposed interior.
Expect a 5.2-liter V10 with 540 horsepower to power the standard Spyder model while the Plus variant will offer 610 hp. It will be slightly slower than its coupe counterpart due to the additional weight of being a convertible, but don’t expect it to change by much.
