New Mercedes-AMG E63 Wagon Spied Testing

Mercedes is preparing a new high-performance version of its E-Class wagon and we have fresh spy photos of it being unloaded off a truck.

This is the E63 AMG Wagon, given away by its revised front fascia, larger front end air intakes and new hood that give it a more aggressive face than the standard E-Class. The fenders are also widened, the brake calipers are large slotted and drilled units and a quad exhaust setup is peaking from the back end.

Under the hood, AMG’s new 4.0-liter biturbo V8 is expected to provide around 600 horsepower to the wheels, enough to outshine both the Audi RS6 and BMW M5. The current car uses a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 to make 577 hp, so pushing it to 600 isn’t a big stretch.

Besides a power boost, the new E63 model is expected to lose some weight and be equipped with a new nine-speed automatic transmission.

Mercedes is expected to debut the new E63 sedan at the Paris Motor Show in September of 2016, so expect the wagon version to follow roughly six months later.
