The Honda Civic GRC Race Car Can Fly Like No Civic Has Before

Honda is excited to go racing with the Civic GRC race car.

The 2016 Honda Civic Coupe will kick off its campaign this weekend at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Phoenix, Arizona and to celebrate Honda has released a promotional video showing off the team of drivers and the race car. And the Civic sure does look competition ready, packing over 600 horsepower and the capability to go zero-to-60 mph in just 1.9 seconds.

The 2016 Honda Civic GRC race car will compete under the Red Bull Racing banner this year and was developed in collaboration with champion-winning race team Olsbergs MSE. Drivers for the Honda team include Sebastian Eriksson and Joni Wiman.

    The name "Civic" seems so out of place in the same sentence with "600 horse power. But it sure looks the part.
