BMW gave its 2002 Hommage Concept a fresh new look for the 2016 Monterey Car Week.

Created to pay tribute to the original BMW 2002 turbo, the BMW 2002 Hommage Concept originally bowed at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in May. But the German automaker wanted to make it even bolder for the 2016 Monterey Car Week, in hopes of standing out in a sea of luxury and exotics. And stand out it did, with a brilliant orange and black paint scheme, while the wheels have been finished in gold. Graphics have been added throughout the body of the car, paying respects to the first series-produced vehicle in Europe with a turbocharged engine.

2016 Monterey Car Week Coverage

The retro-styling of the BMW 2002 Hommage Concept has made it a fan favorite among enthusiasts, and all we can hope is that BMW decides to make a limited production version of it one day.
