Some questioned whether the 1500-horsepower Koensigsegg Regera could do a burnout thanks to its lack of a transmission, but the company has laid that rumor to rest.

This short clip posted to Koenigsegg’s Facebook shows the Regera take off down a runway and build up a little speed before it truly starts to spin its wheels. After that, a white plume of smoke quickly erupts from the rear of the car as rubber is torn apart on asphalt. “Did someone say party? We’ll bring the smoke machine!!!!” was posted as the caption on the video.

All that power comes from a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with three electric motors, driving the Regera to 62 mph in 2.8 seconds on its way to 186 mph in a mere 10.9 seconds.

Some doubted the Regera’s ability to do a burn out, as it doesn’t have a gear box. Instead, electric motors in the back wheels provide acceleration until a direct hydraulic coupling between the engine and rear axle can be fully locked.

After watching this video, there should be no more doubt.
