Those lucky enough to be getting a Ford GT will also have a one-of-a-kind order experience.

Ford Performance is providing customers with a unique order kit to help them personalize their all-new Ford GT supercars. Each approved applicant will receive a kit that lets them physically piece together each aspect of their new Ford GT, including paint colors, wheel options, caliper colors, interior material samples and racing stripes.

Going one step further than a traditional online configurator, the order kit features the same materials used in the Ford GT’s interior, including carbon fiber and a latch identical to the one found on the Ford GT race car. Also included are swatches of each interior theme, boasting the same high-quality leather and Alcantara that will adorn the cabin of the production car.

A total of eight exterior color samples with removable stripes can be interchanged to showcase the multiple options available. In addition, owners can preview which wheels they want on their car with the scaled-down replicas that come with different colored calipers.

Once a customer’s order is serialized, Ford will also send them a replica VIN plate that can be placed in a concave space near the latch on the order kit.

“The Ford GT ordering kit is a critical piece in the purchase process,” said Henry Ford III, global marketing manager, Ford Performance. “This high-quality kit is a hands-on tool for Ford GT customers to enhance their ordering experience. Authentic colors, finishes and materials will provide them an intimate, tactile way to discern the multitude of choices to configure their ideal supercar.”
