Production Civic Type-R Highlights Trio of Honda Debuts at Geneva Motor Show
Honda has officially announced that the Geneva Motor Show is where we’ll catch the production version of the Civic Type-R, as well as two other important debuts from the Japanese automaker.
While we’ve seen iterations of the Type-R at previous auto shows, the model being displayed at the Geneva Motor Show is going to be an honest-to-goodness production model. Little is known about the car so far, but hopefully more details will be shared at the show. All we can say is that this hot Honda will be making its way to North America and it’ll pack a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
Alongside the production version of the Civic Type-R, Honda will be showing off the new Honda Clarity hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. The first batch of European deliveries of this car happened late last year, but Honda is still keen on showcasing its commitment to alternate fuel vehicles. Capable of going 385 miles on a single tank of hydrogen, the Clarity is set to be a major advancement for these clean vehicles. We’ll even have driving impressions of the Clarity in the coming months.
Finally, Honda will give its NeuV Concept Car a proper European debut. This small, electric concept car is designed to also provide car-sharing capabilities when its owner is not using the vehicle, which can help put some extra money in the owners pocket. It also features an “emotion engine” that can read the driver’s emotions and apply what it has learned from the driver’s past decisions to make new choices and recommendations. It originally debuted at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show. Below is our first look video describing the new concept.

Why does the Type R in Europe look so cool but the one for the US is so dull and lame.
The Nuev is stupid. Just use a regular, safe, electric car or plugin hybrid and install autonomous hardware and software... Hope Honda makes a good Civic Hybrid in the future. Their last ones sucked.
