Infiniti Reveals ‘Signature Edition’ Q50 Sedan and QX80 SUV

Infiniti revealed two new vehicles at this year’s Chicago Auto Show, specifically, Signature Edition variants of its Q50 sedan and QX80 SUV.

These luxury models feature unique trim, popular options and – most likely – attractive pricing.

Starting with the smaller of these two Infinitis, the 2017 Q50 Signature Edition sports a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that’s good for 300 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Owners can have either rear- or all-wheel drive, and 17-inch bright-finish alloy wheels with all-season run-flat tires are standard, as are LED head lights and tail lights.

Focusing attention inward, this vehicle features a power-sliding moonroof, Infiniti’s InTouch navigation technology and associated services, as well as an advanced climate control system.

Against the odds, pricing for the 2017 Infiniti Q50 3.0t Signature Edition has been announced. Rear-drive examples should start around $39,605 including delivery fees. Opting for four-corner traction will set you back an extra two grand.

Stepping up to the Infiniti QX80, this beast of a luxury SUV offers customers plenty of popular features including intelligent cruise control, backup collision intervention, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning and much more. Inside, there’s room for up to eight people.

Ensuring passersby have something to gawk at, this leather-lined, road-going parlor rolls on 22-inch forged aluminum wheels shod in all-season rubber. There are also chrome-trimmed mirror housings and a clear lens in the high-mounted stop lamp at the back. This Special Edition will be offered in four different colors: Hermosa Blue, Graphite Shadow, Black Obsidian and Majestic White.

Underhood, you’ll find a familiar 5.6-liter direct-injected gasoline V8 that’s good for 400 horsepower. Like the Q50, a seven-speed automatic should handle shifting duties. The 2017 Infiniti QX80 Signature Edition is available in both two- and four-wheel drive.

This luxury SUV is slated to go on sale in May but pricing information has not yet been made public.
