Could This 7-Seat Jeep Make It to North America?
Jeep has released photos of the Yuntu Concept ahead of its debut.
The new concept will officially make its debut at the 2017 Shanghai Motor Show, previewing a stylish and rugged model for the Chinese market. There is however, a possibility it could be sold in the U.S. as a Chrysler model. Details on the concept are sparse at the moment, but the styling does a good job blending classic Jeep characteristics with a modern touch with slim LED headlights and flush-mounted door handles. Along with the large wheels, Jeep has outfitted the concept with suicide rear doors and a panoramic glass roof.

Inside the cabin there’s a plenty of high-tech features like a digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. Even the passenger has their own infotainment system, while rear seat passengers have two – one in the headrests and one in the seats. There’s also a floating center console, elegant wood trim, unique steering wheel and gloss black accents on the seatbacks.
We should learn more about the powertrain in the Jeep Yuntu Concept once it officially debuts, but “PHEV” emblems on the doors suggest it’s a plug-in hybrid.
