A 1 of 99 Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet will be auctioned at Bonhams’ upcoming Zoute sale.

The G650 Landaulet, first shown at last year’s Geneva Motor Show, is essentially a lengthened G500 4×4² with a partially retractable soft-top roof. Under the hood is Mercedes 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 (rather than the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 in the 4×4²), which is making a healthy 621 horsepower and 731 lb-ft of torque. The rear bench in the regular G-Class is replaced by two reclining individual chairs, which are joined by two touchscreen displays and airline-style foldout tray tables. Think of it as a safari vehicle for the uber rich.

Maybach sold almost all of 99 examples of the G650 Landaulet at Geneva – save for the example Bonhams will auction. Due to the pent-up demand for the high-riding, ultra luxurious off-roader, Bonhams is predicting the SUV will sell for at least €630,000 (just over $750,000 USD) when it heads to auction early next month. Mercedes’ asking price for the Landaulet was around half a million euros, but Bonhams won’t be profiting off of this sale. All proceeds from the auction will go to the Laureus’ Sport for Good Foundation, which supports more than 100 programs in different 40 countries, fighting to address issues related to health, education, gender equality, inclusivity and conflict resolution.
