Porsche Boxster Plows Into Crowd Leaving Cars and Coffee, Injuring 11
The driver of a Porsche Boxster lost control of the vehicle while leaving a Cars and Coffee event in Boise, Idaho Saturday, injuring 11 spectators.
Amateur video of the accident shows a grey fourth-generation Porsche Boxster accelerating hard after turning right. The driver loses control of the vehicle, which sends it sliding into a crowd of spectators that had gathered to watch cars leave the event. Some of the victims, which included a number of children, had serious injuries, according to The Miami Herald.
“You could hear the skidding and crashing,” a bystander told The Herald. “One body after another going flying up in the air, and shoes flying everywhere, and cellphones … And after that it was sheer screaming.”

The road was closed on Saturday as local authorities investigated the crash. The driver of the vehicle, who has not been named, is said to be cooperating with police.
This is far from the first time an accident such as this has happened. Car show attendees typically like to show off as they leave events and as such, spectators line the road to get a glimpse of the action. Unfortunately, all too often does this result in high-horsepower cars sliding toward a crowd of bystanders. Whether you’re a spectator or like to bring your ride to Cars and Coffee-style events, there’s lots to learn from scenarios such as this.
