For about the price of an Audi R8 V10 Plus you can now take home a purpose-built GT4 race car.
Back in April, Audi announced the R8 LMS GT4 as the third prong of its customer racing program – joining the Audi TT and R8 GT3 – and now the company has opened the ordering process, with cars expected to reach customer hands by December. Audi is asking for 198,000 Euros for the 495-horsepower GT4-spec car, which is a mere 4,000 Euros more than the price of a road-going R8 V10 Plus in Germany.
The LMS GT4 is eligible to compete in a myriad of global series’ which have adopted the SRO’s new regulations, including North America’s Pirelli World Challenge and the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge.
Potential buyers can order the race car through local Audi Sport Customer Racing divisions in Europe, North America, Asia, Japan, and Australia. Imagine the look on your local LamBro’s face when you roll this thing off the trailer at your next track day…
