The most powerful car in GM history has arrived in the form of the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. The supercar-shaming Vette will make its public debut at the L.A. Auto Show this week, so expect more news about this car in the near future.
We can’t wait to drive this car on a track, but before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s look at the five major specs that make this performance car so exciting.

Engine Specs, Top Speed and 0-60 Time
A massive 755 horsepower and 715 pound-feet of torque are supplied by Chevy’s LT5 V8. The engine is sourced from the Z06 but with a larger throttle body, bigger supercharger, and more aggressive fuel injection system. Either a seven-speed manual or eight-speed automatic (a first timer for the ZR1) will be available for drivers. Top speed for this model is expected to be at least 210 mph. The sprint to 60 mph, according to Chevrolet, is predicted to be less than 3 seconds.
We already expected the exhaust of this car to sound downright insane and it comes with a sophisticated system that monitors exhaust flow and can produce wicked exhaust sounds when called upon. Another bonus: it can shoot flames, which should make for an interesting show.
Multiple Rear Wing Options
You can either go all the way with the wing on the ZR1 or go for a more restrained look. The standard fixed low wing was designed to aid in achieving high top speeds. The high wing which is adjustable in two ways by 5 degrees helps to maximize track performance.
When it goes on sale next spring, the MSRP for the base model is expected to start at $130,000 in the U.S.
Two Available Interior Themes
Two packages named 1ZR and 3ZR include Napa leather seats with heating and cooling, a Bose audio system, a carbon fiber steering wheel, and sport seats. Other than that, drivers can configure the interior to their liking.
