You Can Now Drive the Honda Sports Vision GT in Gran Turismo Sport
The Honda Sports Vision Gran Turismo has officially been launched, allowing Gran Turismo Sport players to drive the car in-game.
The Honda Sports Vision GT sent the car world into a frenzy prior to its debut. After Honda patents revealed the design, many thought a so-called ‘Baby NSX’ could be on the way, serving as a spiritual successor to the Honda S2000. It turns out it was just a design for Gran Turismo’s ongoing ‘Vision GT’ program, and now the car has made its official debut.
Unlike many other Vision GT cars, the Honda Sports is something that looks as though it could be built if Honda were so inclined. The two-seater, mid-engine sports car is powered by a 400 horsepower version of the automaker’s 2.0-liter turbocharged VTEC engine, which is sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Honda claims its carbon-fiber intensive construction has enabled a low kerb weight of 899 kg (1,981 lbs), while an aerodynamically optimized body helps keep things planted through the corners.

Honda held a competition amongst its designers for the Vision GT. Its Los Angeles design team ended up winning and built a quarter model of the sports car at their west coast headquarters. The virtual modeling and hardware was developed in Japan before the whole package came together over at Polyphony’s studios.
So if you play Gran Turismo’s, you can get an idea of how a mid-engine Honda sports car of the future may drive right now. The rest of the world will have to wait and see Honda will make a production version. Fingers crossed, Honda fans.

Now if this doesn't turn a few heads, nothing does.
And if mass produced, it would be the best selling car of tis kind anywhere. HONDA!
