Porsche 911 GT2 RS Wins 2018 AutoGuide.com Reader's Choice Sports Car of the Year Award
Things are never quiet in the sports car segment, but the Porsche 911 GT2 RS made a lot of noise this year.
Originally introduced earlier this year at a video game press conference of all things, the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS has won over AutoGuide.com‘s readers. Sporting 700 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque, the GT2 RS has already turned in a blistering Nurburgring lap time of 6:47.3, dethroning the Lamborghini Huracan Performante’s record of 6:52.01 from earlier this year. It’s also the fastest and most powerful street-legal 911 ever produced, with a zero-to-60 mph time of just 2.7 seconds on its way to a top speed of 211 mph (340 km/h).
