Spy Shots Get up Close and Personal With New Aston Martin Vanquish
The next-generation Aston Martin Vanquish has been spied once again, but this time the sports coupe was spied up close.
The Vanquish was caught hanging out in -15 degree °F weather in Europe’s Lapland. The latest version of the two-door will have much in common with the range-topping DB11, but will be much sportier in ethos than the comfiest GT in the Aston Range.
As we’ve seen in previous photos, the new Vanquish will feature a wide, open-mouth grille, which will be joined by a deep front splitter and large side intakes. The side skirts are also rather large and feature a small winglet placed just aft of the front wheels, while the rear is set apart by a small spoiler, a multi-segmented rear diffuser and quad exhaust tips. Some other notable touches seen in these photos include the large brakes, Pirelli Sottozero winter tires and hood vents.

Speaking of the hood vents, they’ll help cool the same 5.9-liter twin-turbocharged V12 found in the DB11, but with power boosted beyond 600 hp. Considering the Vanquish will be up against vehicles like the 789 horsepower Ferrari 812 Superfast and 621 hp Mercedes-AMG S65, it’s likely the engine will be making over 650 hp in the application. The same eight-speed automatic transmission used in the DB11 and recently released Vantage will probably feature as well.
The 2020 Aston Martin Vanquish is expected to debut sometime late next year or in early 2019.

OK, I get it that it's wearing some disguise. But it appears that they really uglied up the face of a heretofore beautiful design.
