Hyundai has released a second teaser video for the new 2019 Veloster hatchback prior to its debut on February 20th.

The new Veloster will ride on a slightly lengthened version of the platform currently serving in the Elantra. It’s not clear what engines may be in store for the new model, but the latest version of Hyundai’s 1.6-liter turbocharged engine is a strong possibility, along with its turbocharged 2.0-liter for the expected ‘N’ performance version.

The new Veloster will also retain its asymmetrical styling and recognizable shape, but will appear a bit more corporate than the outgoing version, adopting several Hyundai styling cues. Its large single-frame grille will also be present, along with center-exit dual exhausts and a rear diffuser.

We were expecting the new Veloster to debut at the 2018 Detroit auto show in January, but it seems as though Hyundai has other plans for its medium-sized hatch. This video indicates it will arrive on February 20th, 2018, which just so happens to be during the Olympics in PyeongchanggChang. Could it be set for an Olympic debut?
