The folks at Flyin’ Miata have done it again, this time twincharging the latest Mazda MX-5 Miata.

The Colorado-based company is known for its crazy Miata projects, always finding a way to impress enthusiasts. For its latest project, Flyin’ Miata combined a BRR turbo kit with an Edelbrock supercharger, but things aren’t running optimally just yet.

According to Road & Track, who spoke to Flyin’ Miata’s Keith Tanner, the Miata’s fuel system right now is the limiting factor. But the BRR turbo kit alone is capable of around 350 horsepower at the wheels, so adding the supercharger should result in a noticeable increase.

For now, it’s unclear if Flyin’ Miata has any plans of selling a twincharged kit, and we’re assuming that will depend on how the fuel system needs to be tweaked in order to get it to all work harmoniously. But for those that know a thing or two about modifying cars, you can purchase the BRR turbo kit and Edelbrock supercharger on your own, and figure out the fuel upgrades yourself. Getting it properly tuned however, may be a different story since there aren’t exactly twincharged Miata sports cars running around all over the place.
