The Cadillac XT4 crossover has been spied testing once again, this time with the interior on full display.

The XT4 crossover will ride on General Motors’ E2 platform, which also serves in the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick Regal. Under the hood will be the automaker’s 2.0-liter turbocharged LTG four-cylinder, which should make about 272 hp. A plug-in hybrid version is also expected to arrive eventually.

As for the XT4’s newly revealed cabin, it will be a bit different than other current day Cadillacs. The center stack display screen has been mounted at an interesting angle, likely to reduce glare, and is joined by a row of horizontal buttons mounted beneath it. Looking closely, the buttons will be for the HVAC controls and heated/cooled seat controls, among more. We also spot a digital dash display on this prototype, along with a square electronic gear selector and what appears to be a new steering wheel never before seen on a Cadillac.

The Cadillac XT4 will make its debut at the 2018 New York International Auto Show – now Cadillac’s home show after GM moved the brand’s head offices to New York a couple of years ago. Stay tuned for more information on the luxury crossover as it becomes available.
