Hyundai has released the first images of its new Santa Fe SUV ahead of the 2018 Geneva Motor Show in March.
The Santa Fe is the Korean automaker’s largest passenger vehicle it sells, and will thus be rather important to its North American business operatiosn going forward. The new Santa Fe has a more premium look and feel than its predecessor, and is also longer and wider than the outgoing Santa Fe.
Hyundai hasn’t shared details on the Santa Fe’s powertrain, but the automaker did say it has a “comprehensive package” of active safety features. These include Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, which will apply the brakes if it detects an imminent rear-cross collision, while Safety Exit Assist will temporarily lock the doors if it detects a vehicle approaching from the rear. It will also feature other active systems as part of Hyundai’s SmartSense suite of active safety features.
Hyundai says further details on the new Santa Fe will be disclosed during the vehicle’s world premiere this month. Following the debut, the new Santa Fe will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
