Someone Built a Life-Size Toyota Camry From LEGO Bricks

If you’re in Australia, you may want to stop by the Melbourne Museum Plaza to check out a life-size LEGO replica of a Toyota Camry.

Built from more than 500,000 LEGO bricks, the Toyota Camry replica weighs more than the actual production car, tipping the scales at around 4,000 pounds. The LEGO replica is quite detailed, featuring Toyota logos on the wheels, hybrid lettering, working headlights, indicators, and brake lights.

According to Toyota Australia, the project took 900 hours to assemble over eight weeks, which is over 40 times longer than it takes the automaker to make a single car. The LEGO Toyota Camry is on display at the Brickman Awesome exhibition in Melbourne Museum Plaza from March 21 to April 29.

So who is the madman behind the entire project? Ryan “The Brickman” McNaught made it all happen. McNaught is the only LEGO certified professional in the southern hemisphere and one of only 14 in the world and you can learn more about him by watching the video below.
