Volkswagen has already confirmed a T-Roc Convertible is in development, and this is what it could look like.

Given that we’ve already seen the production T-Roc, the convertible variant shouldn’t hold very many surprises. Perhaps the biggest surprise is Volkswagen moving forward and investing into the project, given that convertible crossovers aren’t exactly at the top of very many people’s lists of cars to buy. Nonetheless, it’s coming and if it looks close to this render, some might say it doesn’t even look half-bad.

The Volkswagen T-Roc Convertible will be the German automaker’s first drop-top crossover. It’s likely it won’t be heading to North America, so those interested customers will have to stick with the Range Rover Evoque Convertible or Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet, although the latter is on its way out.
